I Kicked It With Donnie Klang!!

Yes ladies! That’s right! That’s me and Donnie Klang chillin out in VIP @ the Sharks Club in Costa Mesa Thursday Oct 16, 2008. Donnie Klang is a Bad Boy artists. He was made from MTV’s show Making the Band!

So like I was up in the air about going or not. I mean I “SO” wanted to see Donnie, because I felt like I knew him already (before meeting him), because I have watched him go from Donnie the guy trying to make the band to Donnie the guy who became a solo artist! But yeah, the reason why I was up in the air about it was because this was my last week in the two classes (I just ended). I had finals due that following Sunday. So as you can see I went anyways. I mean what if I never had the chance to meet Donnie again? For me that would suck because I just think he is down to earth and cool and I wanted to see if in person he would be the same way. And he was!

We took two pics!

So … I rolled solo that night. It’s all good; I’m a big girl! Hee hee. Of course I got the walk right in treatment. Just how I like it. After I got in there, I sat by the fire place (I think). Ha ha ha! Anyways, within a few mins after sitting down these really awesome Asian dudes came up and befriended me. One of them was named Rod. His birthday is like next week. He wants Socially It to host his b-day party! Aweeee!

I walked around with them for a little bit, then I bumped into DJ Mike Smoove. He saw me and was like hey, I know you from Myspace and Im like yeah I know you too! How awesome is that right? It never fails! Like anytime Lainie and I go out (and the Socially It girls), people always recognize us and know our names (and say Socially It) … w00t w00t!

After I talked to Mike low and behold I saw our boy Emery of the Deziak Clan! I was so excited to see him. Usually we know what each other are up to during the week and the weekend, but we did not know that each other were going to be there this night. Dang, and I am so mad because I just realized that I did not get a photo of us this night. It’s all good, we have a couple with him from other nights, and there are many more nights to come.

So while I was talking to Emery … I noticed Donnie up in VIP. Thus far I had not seen my boy B Clarke (my friend who helps to run these events there at the Sharks Club). He is the one who invites me and stuff. He’s mad cool yall! Here’s a pic of him big pimpin in VIP!

So like I was sayin … I saw Donnie in VIP. I noticed there was not any security standing near the ropes so I just walked right on up in there! Lol. Note: It doesnt matter because I would have eventually been invited up in there anyways. Hee hee! Yeah … I go in there and Donnie looks at me, then I looked at him, then he looked at me (but some one else was talking to him)! It was just so weird seeing him in person. So I am just chillin waiting for a chance to say hello to him then I saw my boy B Clarke. He is cool with Donnie and asked if I would like to meet him. Of course I said yes! B Clarke took me over to Donnie and introduced me as Anita of Socially It! Big ups to B Clarke! B … ur my boy B! LOL!

Donnie and I shook hands and I gave him a hug! That’s when we took that first photo you saw of us. I was drinking a glass of white wine and so Donnie was like, “Is that Pinot Grigio”? LMFAO! Simple question, I know … but for some reason it just tickled me that he asked that. I answered him (that I did not know). The wine was ordered for me by a nice gentleman who saved me from some psycho guy who randomly pushed me up against a wall and tried to kiss me! EWW WTF? UGH! Anyways, after I answered Donnie he said, “Oh it smells like Pinot Grigio”.

Donnie and I chilled out right there for a few and then his manager came over. He was mad cool too! We talked a bit and networked (exchanged cards and info). I told him about Socially It. I am to call or email him when this blog goes up so they can check it out.

It was time for Donny to go on stage! I watched him perform a couple of his songs from the VIP section. After that, he sang a couple of other artists songs while the girls in the front of the stage were going CRAZY over the cutie R&B Singer Donnie Klang aka Mr. Love Dr! Hee hee!

Here he is performing

After he came off stage he came back to VIP and was conversing with a few people who were giving him props on his performance. Eventually I made my way back over to him and that’s when we took that second picture you saw of us. I decided I was going to bounce, so I wanted to say goodbye. He gave me another hug (hee hee) and I said goodbye to his manager. Oh yeah and I teased Donnie about not taking his shirt off! We both laughed! You have to watch Making the Band to really know what I am talking about when I said that to him. Again … I really felt like I knew him! Oh and he said that everyone tells him that (man I’m tellin yall it’s because of the show).

I want to tell yall … if you have not watched Making the Band or do not know about Donnie Klang yet then check him out. He is really cool (and seems to be ) a genuine person. I am so, so, so pleased I was able to meet him. Honestly if I had the choice of meeting Donnie Klang or some one like um … um … like LL Cool J … I would pick Donnie! Like I said, it’s all about personality and connecting with some one and I can appreciate him and the work he has put into launching his career! Big ups to Diddy for having the show Making the Band. If it was not for that show, I probably would not feel the same or been as excited to meet Donnie in person!

P.S. Aubrey I love ya girl! I think she is mad cool and I hope she goes back into DK (Danity Kane for those who don’t know what DK stands for)! Her and D. Woods! Do you girl!
