Tash & Many Other Artists @ The Sharks Club.

Thursday August 21, 2008 Lainie (orange cast), one of the “It” girls Alexia (blonde), and I went out to the Sharks Club to see performances by a few artists/bands. One of the artists who performed was Tash of the Alkoholics (in the picture with us).

Before Tash performed, other artists got to show off their talent. Warner Brown was first to the stage. At this time we are not going to review him because his performance was interrupted due to some technical difficulties that were not his fault. With that said, he did not handle the situation too well. He was a bit unprofessional in handling the issue. We did hear though that the week before he had a great performance so we plan on checking him out again sometime in the future.

Above was the next group who went on after Warner Brown. They go by the name Main Attraction. Honestly, I liked some of their songs. There were people dancing and these two guys were dancing all around too. They had great energy. I would definitely like to see them perform again sometime in the near future.

Next we saw Global Warming. Ooh wee! These boys tore up the stage! There is three of them. One Black guy, one Asian guy, and the other guy (with the long hair), well I think is White or maybe Latino. While they were all good and very enthused during their performance, one of them stood out the most to me and that was the Asian guy. It is not that common to see an Asian guy F’ing up the mic. I mean this boy was spittin hard. They were so tight that Tash of the Alkoholics came and gave them props a few times while he danced in front of the stage during their performance. Don’t believe me? U know we have the pics! Check it out!

I am not an artist, so I know if I thought it was cool that a man who has been in the hip hop game awhile gave them props, then I “bet” for them it was flattering. I tried to look up these guys on Myspace, but I could not find them. Hey guys, if you are out there … hit up Socially It. We would love to come and see you again. However, I can probably find out through my boy B Clarke on how to find them!

So after Global Warming packed the room another group came on stage. This group was Mid City. Again … another hype performance. These dudes had their own entourage too! LOL! Their people were wearing shirts that said Mid City Ent. I tried looking them up on Myspace as well. I think I may have found a match! Heh. We’ll see. I sent them a note.

Last but not least a fella by the name of Jimmy Conway performed. As he was performing though, we had to go into the next room, so we owe him one. I can say though from the sound of it while we were leaving the room that we mos def have something to look forward to.

Now … on to the grand finale. Tash of the Alkoholics performed in the main room. The other artists performed in what they call the Red Room. If you have ever been to The Sharks Club before, it is the first room located to the left when you first walk in. It’s a pretty cool room. Tash got up there and did his thing. Alexia and I went to the front of the stage to get some pictures like so …

While Tash was up there he started rapping about me on the mic. LOL! I was so shocked and embarrassed. Everyone was looking at me. He decided to rap about my “twins.” I have a sense of humor though, and laughed along with everyone else. Tash is a really cool dude. He definitely is not stuck up. Some times artists have an arrogance about them. Tash walked around the club and talked with people and was friendly. He took a lot of pictures with us.
