So you’re probably wondering what the title “Hollywood” is all about ya? Well I will tell ya, that is the name of one of the songs by Bad Newsz the greatest. I came across Bad Newsz the greatest on Myspace (surprise, surprise). Ha ha! Yeah I love Myspace! So anyways, if you are from Southern Cali and you have been to, live in, or live near Hollywood then you will more than likely find the lyrics to his song “Hollywood” pretty funny! I did! Bad Newsz the greatest is a solo artist and the world is his group!

I’ve said before when blogging about people’s music that I am not really one for lyrics. Well this time around (for this particular song) I thought that I would pay attention to what the artist is actually saying, rather than being consumed by the beat, which is a good thing, because there is a message in the song. Well there is usually always a message in a song, but um … yeah! Lol! Hey … it’s my blog don’t criticize my ramblings! LOL!

When it came to his song “Swisher Sky High” … I was SO feeling the beat! Yeah … back to my old ways! Lol! I am not a smoker, so the lyrics were not really my thing, but I love the smell of a grape Swisher (I have friends who smoke). Heh. So yeah yall … just check it out for yourselves! His new album is coming out soon.

Let me give yall a lil info about Bad Newsz. When he was about seven or eight years old he would take cassette tapes from around the house and stuff tissue in the holes, then free style over them. HA HA! Bad Newsz says that’s old school! Um yeah! LOL! He was born in Carson, CA … but moved around a lot (Long Beach, Torrance, lakewood, Anaheim, and Riverside). Pretty much all up and down the 91 freeway! For all of you out of state and out of country readers, those cities are Southern California cities. Bad Newsz does not do many shows at the moment, but if the price is right he’s down! In a Myspace interview he told me, “Money is a factor, never the motivation!” Bad Newsz is not signed right now, but may be in about four to five months. He is talking to a couple labels right now.
