Gmail User Alert!!! I Have TIPS and I Have TRICKS!

Google + email = Gmail

Gmail is a really wonderful email service that not only gives you a huge amount of email storage, but also offers an easy way for messaging that always lets you stay in your inbox and chat at the same time. I have been using Gmail now for along time. My sign up date is 4/21/05. WOW! I have told many people about it and sent out many invites. I have now come to find that anyone who is anyone has a Gmail account. They are even rapping about it in songs now, lol. I am going to fill you in on a few things that might be helpful if you are a Gmail user.

I am just going to share a few with you that I use. There are really so many things that you can use; it just depends on how you function and what works best for what you are doing. Below are just a FEW of what I am using or have tried. Have fun! 🙂

1) How to Insert an Image Inline in Gmail

a.
First open the compose an email window.
b. In another window open the image which you want to insert.
c. Now, just drag and drop image where ever you want it by placing your mouse pointer at that place.
Note: Usually email providers block any images/graphics to be displayed in emails . So as to check the image sent in email Click View Image.

I did try this before I posted it and I sent myself an email and it worked!

2) Keyboard Shortcuts

3) Xoopit!
My new fav plugin for Gmail. I had no idea how useful this was going to be, but I am now amazed by the things I am finding. I lol @ some of the images I have sent out of the 4,927 images I have hiding in my email.

This is what Xoopit found in my email: 4927 photos, 21 videos, 780 files, and more!

  • Photos you’d forgotten from old friends?
  • Documents and files you know you need to send out but can’t quite track down?
  • It’s all here: http://www.xoopit.com

You can search your images and then click the image and just send it that way. I love it!

They sent me an email to confirm the installation and then there were 11 random old images, and maybe even some from emails I never opened.

Below is what it looks like when you install it, but keep in mind it only works with Firefox, so if you don’t have Firefox then please download it here, plus it is the safest web browser to use, so you are doing yourself a favor.
