To blind copy an email is when you send out an email to one person and also send out a copy to another person at the same time, BUT “don’t” want the original person you are sending it to aware that you are sending it to another person!

Okay … so in the section that says To: … well that’s where you put the email addy of the person you want the email to go to. Duh! Okay yall know that already. Now … in the line where is says BCC: … well that is where you put the address of the person you want to send a copy to, BUT when you put that addy there in the BCC line, the person who you are originally sending it to in the To: section … well they do not see that you are sending a copy to another person. BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy. However, the person you send a BCC to will see the email to the original person you sent it to. Lets see that image again …

See it? The BCC line? Yep that’s the one! Now … the CC line … that stands for Carbon Copy and that line is for if you want the original person u are sending an email to aware that you have sent a copy of the email to another person! Got it? So BCC if you do not want the person you are sending an email to aware you are sending a copy to some one else, and CC if you want the person you are emailing to know you are sending a copy! By the way … in the image above it shows Add CC. Well you need to click that first, then the box will open up for you to add the persons email that you want to CC. The same with BCC (cept the image shows the BCC line open already).

We love hearing from you, so please feel free to leave a comment! It would be interesting to know if you readers already knew about BCC and CC. This blog was inspired by a friend who did not know how to BCC! Lol!
