I was so excited to do this interview with Vape$ regarding Tattoo Connection Magazine! I did an interview earlier with him as a member of OC*OD and this is one motivated dude! His skills in marketing and promoting are genious! Always on the grind, pushing his way to the top, making moves, and staying in the streets to make ends meet. He reminds me a lot of myself, HAHA. As co-owner of Tattoo Connection Magazine and a core member of OC*OD, I have no doubt that this dude will have his name and face all over the place sometime real soon! Ms. Nyna<\/span><\/strong>: How did this magazine transpire?<\/span><\/p>\n

Vape$:<\/span><\/strong> So, one day I met Jeff the man who brought this idea to my attention. He had worked for many different magazines and had a lot of experience in the industry, but never had one like this of his own. He wanted to take the knowledge he gained over the years and put something together that would be his \u201cbaby.\u201d Having been into the music industry and tattoos since 2000, it was a perfect fit. Between Jeff and I we had a vision that was running over and over in our heads and we had to bring it to life.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Nyna:<\/span><\/strong> What does Tattoo Connection Magazine feature? What is it that you\u2019re looking for?<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Vape$: <\/span><\/span><\/strong>We are open to it all. We have no set boundaries. As a team we set out every month to make a good magazine period. <\/span>We feature bands, musicians, entertainers, events, and locals that have ink who represent the culture! We stay in the streets and get what\u2019s hot … something for everyone to read or look at. As far as what we\u2019re looking for, hmmm … Lots of hotties with bodies that wanna show off their ink!!! HAHA we\u2019re looking for everything and anything interesting pretty much.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Nyna:<\/span><\/strong> Who can be featured?<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Vape$: <\/span><\/strong>Anyone has the chance to be featured. We do not just cater to the mainstream or the underground … we love it all, and we don\u2019t just want celebs … we want locals. We don’t just hook people up because they\u2019re our friends or what have you. If you\u2019re making noise or you seem interesting to us, we\u2019ll feature you. We just go with the gut. But you can definitely contact us with whatcha got and we\u2019ll check it out. If you make it in, you make it in. We stay online and in the streets looking for all kinds of stuff to throw into the magazine. We\u2019re very open. So to all those out there … get at us if you have something to say, have a great pic, story, or if you\u2019re looking to advertise your business or what not. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Nyna:<\/span><\/strong> What is your goal with Tattoo Connection Magazine?<\/span><\/p>\n

Vape$: <\/span><\/strong>Our goal is to be the “Rolling Stone” of the tattoo industry, connecting music, ink, and entertainment. We\u2019ve set out to be a life style type magazine that connects the culture. We\u2019re looking to expand all throughout California and then out to Vegas, and to Seattle in the future. We want to be everywhere, someday! Watch out for the Tattoo Connection Reality Show!!! It will have us in the office getting the mag ready, live interviews, concerts, and girls, girls, and more girls!!! HAHA. We\u2019ll be taking over!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

Vape$:<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>Nothing but the best! We strive for greatness. You can expect a magazine dedicated to connecting the people with tattoo shops in their local area and show casing the tattoo culture and lifestyle of the West Coast! Ya diggy dig?<\/span><\/p>\n

Vape$:<\/span><\/strong> We pride ourselves in being all over from LA to OC to the IE. We want to expand. We\u2019re going out to Vegas and San Diego and will eventually own the West Coast. You can find us in places like coffee shops, smoke shops, bars, custom shops, and colleges. Basically anywhere we\u2019re accepted. We have over 150 locations now and they keep growing. Before you know it, you won\u2019t be able to get away from it. But remember one thing … It\u2019s FREE! Everyone loves the word FREE!
