Hello! I am so happy to have had the opportunity to interview these guys. Let me just say that from the first moment I heard them, I was loving it. The Futhamuckas bring something to this universe that was definitely missing. I like to think I have a GREAT ear for music. I seem to really know if something is going to make it or is just going to flop outta there. I do think that success will happen for these guys fast.

So, someone (not naming names lol) … downloaded The Futhamuckas LP to my computer. I have seen them on flyers for our dear friend BoJesse (BJC Events), but had never heard them. Thank goodness this person did me this favor. Their music is party music, blood rushing. get up and dance ish! I know that a lot of you Hip-Hop heads have a hard time getting use to something new, something unique, and not quite the norm. Well you can stay where you are, because we don’t want you at our Futha Muckin party dudes! Times are a changing and music is evolving so stick it!

A little info from Little Brother:

We are The Futhamuckas! That’s right, THE FUTHAMUCKAS! We are one crazy act. We have been trying this whole music thing out for about 4 years now. And so far, so good! We’ve definitely come a long way! Our music has now formed into its own style. Hard to just put into one genre. Basically, we ( 2Z, Baga, and myself, Little Brother) are party boys. So we like party music. We feel like our music gets the party started, keeps it moving, and ends it well. Stuck in traffic? Put Us in! We keep the adrenaline going and will get you home. You definitely won’t need a Red Bull when The Futhamuckas are around! I’d say mix some Beastie Boys. Maybe some Outkast. Probably even some Beach Boys, sometimes! Oh and some say Bloc Party. Thats about what we sound like! Kind of! We’re just not the norm. Lets just say that! Anyone coming to see any of our shows, should probably come with a beverage. (I hear waters best!) And maybe bring a towel too! We just want everybody to have a good time and let loose on the dance floor, whether you got good or bad dance moves. Lets go. Seems nobody wants to make music that makes people dance anymore! Awesome, cause thats when we, THE FUTHAMUCKAS, step in. Lets Get This Party Started! THE FUTHAMUCKAS ARE IN THE BUILDING! YEAH! WITH FUN MUSIC TO THE CEILING! GET YOUR HANDS UP, PARTY PEOPLE!

Lainie: So your name is great, who came up with that?
Baga: Little Brother came up with the name. He said it, we agreed, and we never looked any further!!!

Lainie: How did you guys link up?
Baga: We were all friends for years before the group came about. We all met out in LA, but it wasn’t til about ’06 we started The Futhamuckas.

Lainie: Whats the response you get when you perform?
Baga: More than anything I think people are amazed with our energy. And ultimately we just want to give people a great show, so we keep it hype always! I think the world is looking for something new, fresh, and crazy!!!

Lainie: You guys seem wild, whats a night out with you guys like?
Baga: A night with us is definitely a wild night. We’ll probably pre-drink, get to the club and straight to the bar. Then we hit the dance floor and bust out some moves, whether good or bad, we just go for it!!! Maybe even mosh a bit!!! Then we’re out when them lights come on!!! That’s tacky!!! Ahahahahaha

Lainie: Who would you like to work with?
Baga: Right now we tryin to find Calvin Harris, he’s the f***ing man!! But we’d love to work w T-Boz, M.I.A., and last but not least Andre 3000.

Lainie: What label would you guys just love to sign with?
Baga: Our Own! We hate shelves!

Lainie: Who is the wildest out of you 3?
Baga: We are all 3 wild as hell, but Baga definitely takes the cake. When he’s not around Little Brother is runner up!!! 2Z’s wild side come in spurts!!!

Lainie: How would you define the word “success”?
Baga: To accomplish one’s goals.

Lainie: Would you change your lyrics to get on the radio?
Baga: Yeah, we’d bleep out curse words!!! No problem!!!

Lainie: Underground or mainstream?
Baga: Under The Main Ground’s stream!!! Our music is for whoever likes it!!!

Lainie: Who writes the music?
Baga: We write our own music mostly, but we do have some talented friends who may drop a line or 2 for us!!!

Lainie: Do you guys style yourselves?
Baga: It depends, if we’re too busy/lazy our buddy Preston Mui helps us out with the styling.

Lainie: Have you branched out over seas yet?
Baga: Well our music has made it over there, we just haven’t. But that’s our goal for 2010. To travel more and get overseas!

Lainie: Whats the next move for The Futhamuckas ?
Baga: The next move is workin on new music, maybe find some new producers who collab well with us and get a new Ep cracking off!!!

Lainie: Will you have apparel for sale?
Baga: Heck yes we’ll have apparel for sale. We actually already have some out, but we’re workin on some new designs as we speak.

Lainie: What venue have you had your best response from?
Baga: Our Biggest response was when we teamed up with Hurley for their Walk the Walk High School fashion shows at House of Blues in Anaheim and Orlando. Those 2,500 kids went nuts!! Shouts out to Hurley for showing us some love!!!

Lainie: What has been the biggest challenge for you or the group?
Baga: The biggest challenge for us and probably any group, is to be a group. Different ideas, opinions, and suggestions, but we got it figured out. We’re bros not band mates!! It’s way easier that way!!!! (As Ollie and Jerry said in the 80’s “There’s No Stoppin Us, No Stoppin”)
