For all of you NBA fans out there .. check it out! That is us (Socially It) with Rafer Alston aka “skip to my lou” of the Houston Rockets. Before he was signed to the Rockets he was a legendary street baller for And1. Congrats Rafer for making it to the pro’s!
This night at Shag was SO MUCH DAMN FUN! I expected nothing less either, because the last time we went to Shag, (which was our first time) … we had a lot of fun then too, but this night takes the cake! Where do I begin? Oh and don’t expect me to tell you how many chandeliers or lighting fixtures they have here, or about how many dance floors and rooms they have either! That’s just lame! No one wants to hear about that right? WINK, WINK!
So if you read my busted post (where I busted my own self out), then you know the night started off with me finding out I was wearing two different earrings on my ears. How on earth that happened I do not know, but I rocked them!

While sitting on the couch, lookin pretty, and waiting for the club to let people in … one of the bouncers approached us to see if we would like to join these really nice guys over at their VIP table. They requested our presence. We went over and that is when the party began!
Note: Because we were hosting an event there we had to arrive early (hence the reason why we were in there before the club opened).
So when we got to the table we were served drinks and watched the people roll in. Not too long after that our birthday boy arrived with about 20 or more of his friends. Yeah Shane likes to roll deep.

I went to go greet Shane and his guests. I mingled for a few minutes with them then decided to let them all get settled in to begin their journey to getting faded (assuming they all drink). Of course I went straight back up to VIP. The bottles were pretty much done, so our new, super cool friend kept the drinks coming from the bar including a round of shots!

Shag started to get packed! More and more of our guests started to come through and the lines outside were hella long. A group of girls came and got the table next to us. They started their night out with bottles of champagne and dancing up on their VIP booth.
So then the VIP table diagonal from us got up on their booth too!
So fuck it right? Yep, we got up on ours too.

The guys who invited us over gave us their table; they had to leave. Some of Shane’s friend came over and random other people and then guess what? YEP! LOL! They got up on our VIP booth too!

Okay so EWW! There was this one guy who kept trying to talk to me all night. He was lurking around the VIP stage. I say stage because the VIP area sits up a little higher than the rest of the dance floor and is kind of like in the middle of the area where people dance. They have bouncers on every entrance onto the VIP stage to keep weirdo people out like this guy I am telling you about. Anytime I got down to go see how Shane was doing or what not, that guy would try to holler. I wish I got a picture of him because his breath was BUSTED!!! No joke! I am not trying to be mean, gross, or even funny, but it really smelled like he opened his butt hole and started talking from there! LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg, it was terrible! I RAN off into the crowd! Lol!
It was so crackin this night we had people still coming in to see us after 1am. Of course we had our Myspace friends come out too. One of them (this guy from Long Beach), well we talked on Myspace a couple days after this night and he told me he did not want to come up to me because I looked too famous! Wtf? Awe! People listen … we want you guys to come up to us and be “social”. Man … he could have been the next Socially It MVP had he come over and took a picture with us. Anyways … Thank you to everyone who came out and to Shane for letting us host your birthday party! We had so much fun and we hope that you did too!
There are four tables up on the VIP circle stage. I told you about three of them, so let me tell you about the fourth. That one was reserved for Rafer Alston. It was the one next to us on the left. Lainie actually already had met Rafer before this night. Like I said earlier, Rafer used to ball with And1 and well one of Lainie’s best guy friends (Alastair aka Gee Lock) travels with the And1 basketball team. Gee Lock is the director of the videos they put out. He is also our fabulous photographer (photo shoots soon to come). He is a “super busy guy”! You can see Gee Lock on the new EA Sports game commercial for their new game NBA Live 09.
Anyways, Rafer was mad cool and he had this one friend with him who was crackin me up! He kept clowning me all night because he was one of the only people in the club (that I know of) who saw me fall when I was standing up on the VIP booth! LMAO! I looked all around and thought I was in the clear until I looked his way and saw him busting up pointing at me! Hardy har har … he got me!
